Triple murder in bangalore 16th feb 2009

P L Sachadeva (65) a retired Mathematics professor of the Indian Institute of Science, his wife Rita and 35-year-old handicapped son Munna were found murdered this morning when one of their relative went to the house after he failed to get any response to his phone calls.

“While the professor was found strangulated with a duppata, his wife and son were probably choked to death using a wire,” police reports “Right now the motive for the crime has not been ascertained”, adding the police were probing various angles. “No valuables appear to have been taken or other things disturbed,”.

The police would be questioning his adopted 23-year-old son, who neighbours claimed was not present at the house last night. Besides one of his servants, who was missing, and a relative, who had shown up at the place previously, will also be interrogated,a officer said.
