Oberoi – Trident Hostages Rescued By NSG Commandos

oberoi_rescue_new_248National Security Guards (NSG) early on Friday rescued 40 guests from The Trident Hotel (formerly known as Oberoi), 36 hours after they had been taken hostage by terrorists, suspected to belong to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

The hostages, most of whom are foreign nationals, were swiftly escorted to a private bus. Anxious relatives and family members were present outside Oberoi to receive the rescued hostages.

Police had to resort to lathi charge to bring the crowd of curious onlookers under control.
